Here Comes Sunni & Lance: Part 2

The background at The Hyatt Chesapeake in Cambridge is perfect for photographs.

Sunni's bouquet of all peonies by Perkins Productions.

The baby's breath ceiling treatment took hours of planning and many more hours of construction and installation.

The ceiling treatment over the dance floor, the specialty lighting, the custom gobo, white dance floor, custom band stage and complete floor to ceing draping absolutely transformed a normal ballroom into a spectacular reception venue.

Gobo of the custom crest made for the couple.

Custom table linens from Table Toppers, sofas from Ikea, tables from Target, custom pillows a gift to the bride, and flowers by Perkins. This furniture grouping near the dance floor (was on both sides), was used all night.

The custom chuppah quilt top was installed behind the bridal table for the reception so that all guests could get a closer view of the personalized artwork.

Gorgeous cake from Bay Country Bakery. Silver cake stand is part of the inventory at Elizabeth Bailey Weddings and available for all clients to use for their wedding cake.

Flip flops from Old Navy and we added custom polka dot ribbon to keep the pairs together.
Waiters with famous Dumser's ice cream sundaes made their appearance after dinner. Here the bride and groom pose with the hats we made in our design studio for the waiters.
Attractive models from Taylor Royall Casting were hired to come out onto the dance floor and serve Fisher's popcorn to the guests. We made the lifeguard uniforms (modelled after the Ocean City lifeguard uniform) in our design studio.

A fun time was had by all.

Here Comes Sunni & Lance, Part 1

When planning their wedding, Sunni and Lance made sure that not one detail was missed.  The amazing couple were determined to make their wedding day very memorable, adding personal touches along the way. Their guests were suprised and delighted with the continuous wow factors throughout the night. Talented photographer Steve Canning was there to capture every moment.
Thank you Steve for the magnificent photos!

Custom made wedding dress and cute shoe details.

A little special attention for the bride from her gorgeous bridesmaids. Their dresses were from the sale rack at White House Black Market for something like $30! By adding adorable polka dot shoes and great necklaces, the look comes off as custom and expensive. Our clients are given a complimentary consultation with a fashion stylist just for this reason.
Paper parasols come in 25 colors and are available for sale in our design studio.

My favorite summer tuxedo, the white dinner jacket with black pants.
So inexpensive and so cute to add a pop of color in the groomsmen's socks.

These wedding signs are from Etsy and part of the inventory at Elizabeth Bailey Weddings. All of our clients are free to use any of our amazing stockpile of props and details for their weddings.

Baby's breath played a major role in the decor of this wedding both for it's simplicity and it's color.

Shouting "Here comes the bride!" the little ring bearer announced the bride's arrival. The horse and carriage brought her and her dad to the ceremony site with "Here Comes the Sun" playing in the background. When the bride got out of the carriage, the trumpets played fanfare to further dramatize the entrance. The banners hanging from the trumpets were of a custom "couple's crest" made by a family friend and we had them sewn here by our in house seamstress Barbara DeRose.
This beautiful chuppah top will long be cherished. Within each wedding invitation, guests received a square of fabric and were asked to decorate the piece and return it with their response card. As the fabric squares were received, they were carefully coordinated and beautifully sewn into a quilt by seamstress Barbara DeRose. Later at the reception, the quilt was hung in a prominent space in the Ballroom so that all guests could get a close-up view of the drawings and messages to the bride and groom. Of course now they have it as a keepsake in their home. The extraordinary chuppah was made by Leslie at Perkins Productions.
The extra WOW Factors:
Personalized Details: Cute shoes and Colorful Paper Parasols
Most Memorable Moment: The officiants were a rabbi and a minister and together they created a beautiful ceremony.
Take Away Tip (to use at your wedding): A custom "couples" family crest
Easy DIY Enhancement: Custom made chuppah top.
Details that cannot be missed: Trumpets announcing the bride's arrival.

TOMs Sunglasses

Famed shoe company TOMs are at it again, this time with sunglasses.  The brand has famously provided shoes to shoeless children all over the world, donating a pair for each pair sold.  More recently they started using the same philanthropic method with sunglasses.  Through developing relationships with a number of optical experts, the brand's goal is to provide people in need with vision.  For each pair sold, money is donated to organizations that offer vision screenings, cataract surgery, and prescription glasses in countries all around the globe.  The sunglasses are wonderful in both their meaning and design.  TOMs has stayed true to the simple but chic design aesthetic found in their shoes, using classic styles with a hint of charismatic color.  The eye wear comes in both male and female designs. The style displayed above is the Classic 101, and is available on their website.
