Lori + Gregory

Lori and Gregory were married on Saturday at The Suburban Club by Rabbi Andrew Busch. Lori worked with a designer on Etsy to create invitations with a bird motif that was subtly carried through the wedding. She found fabulous paper from Paper Source with the perfect little birdies that were used for the programs, escort cards, and even the guest book backdrop. More on the oh-so-cute backdrop later.

Jeanne from Blue Sage floral created a blue fabric chuppah - one that matched Lori's shoes perfectly. She used gerber daisies accented in the same orange that Gregory had on his suspenders. Lori and Gregory are both into bright fun colors which was clearly evident in the entire wedding celebration. The linens from Table Toppers in bright orange and pink were accented by orange chivari chairs and pink cushions from Party Rental for the cocktail hour.

After the cocktail hour, guests moved into the beautiful ballroom where the tables were dressed in more muted color linens and bright floral centerpieces. The flowers were each pinspotted by Perkins Event Lighting, which made the colors even more vibrant.

The cake was just what Lori requested, the cake that her mother made for each celebration growing up. The couple cut into the marble cake late in the evening while guests were treated to delicious desserts and a fun ice cream bar.

The crowd was on the dance floor all night thanks to the sounds of Spectrum. The entire day was well documented by Amy Deputy and Black Tie Video. We'll be sure to post Amy's pictures when they are ready. We can't wait to see photos of Lori's traditional lace gown mixed with the bright pops of color.

The guest book screen was a huge hit. Lori and Gregory made a folding screen of doors and covered the doors with the same bird motif paper. We strung ribbons across the screen and guests clipped their well wishes on the ribbon. It was full of love and congratulations by the end of the evening. Guests were also treated to a photo booth area with Amy Deputy. A bright fabric was hung as a backdrop and everyone mugged for the camera.

Many thanks to Rita Feinberg and the entire staff at Suburban. The service was wonderful and the food got rave reviews. It is always wonderful when a couple can be married at a Club that is like a second home for the whole family.
Congratulations Lori and Gregory!

Color Splash on the Eastern Shore

Saturday was a beautiful day in Cambridge at the Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay for Angela and Trey's Wedding. The ceremony was held on the Manor Lawn with amazing views of the Choptank River. Hotel guests watched from their balconies as the bride and groom said their vows.

The flowers in shades of pink, orange, and green added the perfect punch to the green grass and crisp white chairs. Rennie from Simply Beautiful Flowers also draped the backs of the ceremony chairs in garland. Guests stayed cool inside the hotel until the magic moment. Once seated, they stayed cool with brightly colored orange and pink parasols and fans. Angela and Trey were married by a cousin of Trey's while facing a large oak tree.

After shouts of congratulations, the guests walked over to the cocktail hour where they were treated to sangria and madra's to perfectly match our color story.

You may be wondering about the cake featured at the top left of the photo collage. Angela and Trey own GunPowder Bison, a bison farm in Monkton, Maryland. Since bison (or buffalo) are a huge part of their lives they chose to have one of the not-so-friendly creatures immortalized in a grooms cake by Charm City Cakes. The grooms cake was the highlight of the rehearsal dinner held at Suicide Bridge Restaurant on Friday the 13th. Guests "risked their lives" to attend the dinner and were treated to a paddle boat cruise back to the Hyatt at the end of the evening.

Now, back to the wedding. Cocktail hour ended and guests made the journey over to the ballroom on a leisurely stroll around the resort led by the violinist. They were greeted in the ballroom by the sounds of The Source, who kept everyone on the dance floor all evening. The father of the groom loved them so much - he asked them to stay another hour!

Guests were treated to a variety of stations for dinner - the most popular being the bison carving station from the couple's farm. The night ended sweetly with cake from Bay Country Bakery. The entire day was captured by David Michele Photography. We will post their images soon.

Congratulations Angela and Trey!

Citrus Explosion

We put together this Inspiration Board for our citrus color loving clients getting married this summer.  We often put together these colleges of images to help our clients get a feel for what we're creating.  They can pick and choose images they love which help communicate with their other vendors.

All You Need Is Love

Mindy and George's Wedding on Saturday was not traditional but just perfect them in every way. The evening started with laughter throughout the ceremony at Grace Episcopal Church.

The laughter continued at the American Visionary Art Museum - the perfect setting for our 50's inspired decor in hues of pink and orange. Perkins Productions gave the room structure with pipe and drape, washed the ceiling the hot pink, and scattered lanterns that reinforced the circles throughout the decor.

Fleur de Lis created the perfect 'pop' floral arrangements. They matched the fun, festive mood of the wedding. Linwoods Catering kept all of the guests visiting the stations throughout the evening.

The highlight of the evening was the performance by The Mahoney Brothers, a Beatles tribute band. The kept the guests on the dance floor all evening and topped the night with a special appearance by Elvis. The were amazing performers with costumes, wigs, and even British accents.

Congratulations Mindy and George!
