Bridal Show on The Water

The Chesapeake Bay Beach Club in Stevensville, Maryland is not only a wonderful place for a wedding, but the talented folks there also produce one of the best bridal shows in the state. On Saturday, January 7th, the annual show will take place from noon-5:00 pm. Advance purchase tickets are $ 15.00 and well worth the entrance fee. There will be a great line-up of area vendors such as bridal salons, decor experts, deejays and wedding cake bakers all there to talk with you about your wedding. In addition, the Beach Club's culinary team will entice you with samples from their 2012 menus. Definitely worth the trip across the bridge.

Whether you prefer English Breakfast, soothing chamomile, or zesty chai, there is nothing more satisfying than a nice cup of tea. A number of local establishments are hosting high tea, providing customers with delectable finger foods and a comfortable place to relax. Cucumber sandwiches, fresh fruit, and a myriad of pastries are served throughout the two hour experience.

Afternoon tea is an adorable idea for a bridal shower. Not only does it provide guests with a fun cuisine but also a timeless ambiance appropriate for all ages. You don't have visit tea rooms to enjoy the high tea experience, hotels such as the Intercontinental Harbor Court and the Renaissance Mayflower in DC host fabulous events of the sort.
Another enchanting location is Peacock Alley Tea, located at the historic Willard Intercontinental Hotel in Washington D.C.. If you want a truly English experience Tea on the Tiber, a Victorian Tea room located in Ellicott City hosts annual tea parties and caters private events.

Nice Wedding Favor

To begin this month of December, we want to share this cute tree favor idea from the folks at Martha Stewart. It is great for so many reasons: the favor is "green", not expensive, and really something that guests will keep. The fabric covering can be color coordinated to the wedding and the favor table will look wonderful.
