Oh Tory, You Tease

Just when I thought we were all set with Tory shoes for the season, the Nordstom catalog arrives and sure enough, another Tory Burch tease. Slippers! Anyone who visits the office knows there is always a pair of slippers tucked under my desk for those long working evenings. They might just have to be replaced with these cute things.

Better Than Barefoot

While I love to see lots of dancing at a wedding, I do cringe when I see a woman kick off her heels in order to be more comfortable. If one were to be at an actual event set-up, they would never dance in bare feet at a wedding. Broken glass, dropped straight pins, spilled drinks and stray nails make the floor at an event a mine field of danger for those without shoes on.

That's why I am so glad to see Footzyrolls, "the rollable shoe".

At a price of $ 25.00 per pair, every woman should have one of these tucked in her purse.
The shoes are available in Black, Silver, and Gold in sizes Small to X-Large. So smart!

More Shoe Love

Can you tolerate one more post about shoes? I bought this pair of Cole Haan shoes recently because they were on sale at Nordstrom for 30% off and they are perfect to wear with summer skirts. What I didn't know until I got home was that they have the very comfortable Nike Air cushioning which make it easy to wear them for long days. So I thought I would just post this for all my vendor friends who are on their feet for 12 hours at a clip when doing events.

The Air Tatum Thong also comes in brown and in orange.

Shout Out To Nordstrom

I purchased my favorite sandals from Nordstrom back in August of 2008 and proceeded to wear them all the time. They are comfortable and go with just about everything. Even if I start a wedding wearing a shoe with a heel, by the end of the evening, the Tory Burch flats are on my feet.

I went to Nordstrom in Towson Town Center last week with the Torys on and while I was trying on shoes, my daughter (who shares the same shoe size, thus the interest) mentioned to the sales woman that the sandals had a small tear in the side (likely from being worn so much) and asked if they could be repaired. Without hesitation, Geri offered to replace the shoes with a new pair right on the spot. What? Really?

So I walked out of the store with a brand new pair of my favorite flats. Thank you Nordstrom! And by the way, my daughter's reward for speaking up: her first pair of Jack Rogers in silver (which of course I can wear too).

Cute Shoes!

All of your bridesmaids are very different people - that's why you love them.  If you're set on the idea of having them in the same dress - why not give let their personalities shine on their feet!

And how cute are her yellow shoes!

My Feet Hurt

Christina writes:

I'm not good at wearing heals.  They always pinch my toes or rub my heals.  I'm perfectly tall enough as it is so I don't need the added height.  I looove the way they look but hate the way they make (my toes) feel.

So to that end here are some of my picks for cuter than cute shoes for your wedding day that will last through cocktail hour - if you can't deal with heals like me.

Snow!

If you're getting married in the winter, in the North, in Alaska, or at the Ice Hotel then you should probably think about some snow appropriate footwear.
Never fear - the perfect boots are out there.  You can get your outside photographs without losing your toes to frostbit or soaking through your heels.  Plus, they'll make for cute pictures and that's what it's really all about.

Juicy Couture Snowzip Boot

Ugg Snowpeak Tall Boot

Cole Haan Air Alexa Boot

Helly Hansen Skuld Boot

Ecco Winter Zone Boot
Who even knew there would be so many options for white boots?  All from Nordstrom.

Shoes are a Girl's Best Friend

Still looking for wedding day shoes?
While it's always nice to find shoes locally - so that you can try them on in the store - sometimes it's difficult to find what you're looking for.
Be sure to check out myglassslipper.com and zappos.com when you're searching.  Zappos has free shipping and a full year for returns.  Myglassslipper is a bit more strict so read their return guidelines.
Order early and remember that you'll need your shoes for your first fitting.  If you're planning to switch shoes for the reception, have them on hand as well for your seamstress to see.
Shoes above are Kate Spade from Myglassslipper.com
